The Lidr’s First Program is not just a curriculum, it is a super curriculum. You will learn everything you need to lead technology teams in the best international startups, from Engineering Manager to early-stage CTO. It starts with a 2 weeks pre-program that will allow you to get the most out of the experience. We are going to introduce you to the role, and will work on your personal development. You will get the right mindset to lead yourself before leading others.

You will learn to connect the dots, to find the right help, to collect and apply feedback, to take context-based decisions, to negotiate, to prioritize, to get buy-in for your ideas, to reflect, to coach, to inspire, to lead. Basically you will learn to learn, so you can keep growing at the same pace the rest of your life.

After this warm-up, the real program awaits you. Following a time-based narrative, you will become a CTO recently hired in an early-stage startup. Over 20 weeks you will grow with the company, learning the right things that are needed in each stage. Through immersive challenges that reflects some of the most critical problems you will face in the real world, you will evolve from that recently-hired CTO to an inspiring leader that runs a 15+ high-performing team responsible of a digital product used by millions around the world.

BUSINESS VISION
Welcome to the C-Level! You are now a CTO that has just landed in an early-stage startup. That role is really thrilling and the best place in the world to grow as a tech leader, but is also very complex and requires some basics to make it work for you. We will uncover the startup lifecycle and the importance of lean mindset, analyse the ecosystem you’ll live in and deep dive in daily operations: key external and internal players, the role of investors, most important metrics and financial basics, among other topics.
PRODUCT STRATEGY
Do you know that the biggest reason why startups fail is that they create a product nobody wants? Being able to identify key features real customers need, making the right hypothesis, and validate them quickly and cheaply are some of the product-related skills a great CTO has to master to ensure a startup’s success. On top of that, you also need to know the basics of product design in order to create it by yourself or coordinate others

Only when you know what to build you can focus on the how. Let’s get an overview of what tech means in a tech startup, which is much deeper than backend and frontend (don’t forget the printers, the antivirus in every single computer or the CRM licenses for the Sales team, as a few examples).
